Both are nice blades. Congrats.
I have a few questions though.
Does one really need the texture on the handles?
How does the new one open compared to the textured one? Any thumb slippage?

It opens just fine, I actually don't really use the textured Bolster to open mine, I just kind of slide it to the side to open, works great for me Edited December 25, 2015 by willis68

They are both beautiful. You need to rotate those around in the carry rotation.
