Ghost Connector Glock Troubles

In February of 2011 I bought a gen 4 Glock 19. After shooting it for a month I decided I didn't like the stock gen 4 trigger and wanted a lighter break. I had purchased a used gen 3 19 from a TGO member in June of 2010 that had a Ghost connector installed already. I liked the feel of the Ghost connector and being as it had given me no problems, I decided to go with the Ghost connector for my gen 4 19.

I installed the Ghost connector in my gen 4 and for about 400 rounds it worked great, then I started having problems with the trigger break. I disassembled and cleaned the gun thinking there was just some debris fouling it up somewhere. Oiled it up, slapped it back together, and the trigger was back to normal.

A couple days later I get to the range and after 50 rounds the trigger starts getting harder and harder to break. Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble. Gun works fine for about 50 rounds and the trigger slowly gets worse. I went through this routine three or four times before I reinstalled the factory connector. No problems after that. I figured it was a issue with the gen 4 trigger and the Ghost connector since the gen 4 hadn't been out long.

Fast forward to last Thursday, I'm at the range with some first time shooters and after about 200 rounds the trigger on my gen 3 19 (the used one I bought in 2010) with a Ghost connector becomes very difficult to break the trigger. Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble. Gun works fine for about 50 rounds and the trigger slowly gets worse. Sound familiar? I got home, disassembled, cleaned... blah blah blah...

I really wanted the Ghost to work, I liked the reset and the break

I got a Glock "-" connector, installed it this morning and shot 200 trouble free rounds.

I'd like to give a shout out to prag for hooking me up with the "-" connector, it's good to have friends when you're in a bind!

I'm glad it worked well for you my friend.

While I will modify, I like to think "enhance" the externals of my Glocks, I am always hesitant to run anything other than OEM internals.

I think your experiences just reinforced that for me. :pleased:
