For the record, I just tuned in as they were announcing.

 

the noteworthy thing is this:  They gave the crown to Ms. Columbia... she took her walk, had the crown put on her,.... and.....

 

,.. then S.H. announced he misread the card and Ms. Columbia was the first runner up!   

 

... it was the longest, most awkward piece of live television I have ever even heard of... much less witnessed.   woah.

Man, that sucked for S.H. and Ms. Columbia really had no idea what was going on, she doesn't know English.

Really unfortunate, Steve was professional in accepting and taking responsibility for his screw up. What a walk of shame though.

Ms. Philippines was my pick, she had the best answers and other attributes...

Didn't see the actual pageant, just the ending, but after it happened, I looked at twitter for reaction, and there seem to be quite a following for Ms. Philippines.
