How many magazines should a gun come with?

I have often seen that a new model will have NO spare magazines for sale.  For that reason, I think that manufacturers should ship a pistol with three magazines.  While most users will never use more than one, it seems to me that many buyers would see the extra value in a manufacturer who ships a pistol with a useful number of mags.

I got 1 mag with my Bersa Thunder but was able to purchase 3 more at cost from a FFL buddy.

Now I would just be tickled totally Pink if I could find just 1 more for my Bersa Model 85 and I would be totally set.

I wish they would at least supply 2 back ups with 1 in the gun at time of purchase of any new gun.............jmho.

Not to jack this thread, but where are some good sources for mags?  I've got a MK II 22 and need/want another mag or two.

Keep a watch on Flea Bay. OEM  will average in the $25 range with free shipping.  The last time I purchased some was in bulk and I think that got them down to $21.50 each for 10 but that was over a year ago.

However if you have the 22/45 they usually run a few more $$$

Edit: added the 22/45 info
