Foam ear plug bullets

Similar things have been done with hot glue.  You can actually cast with a mold and a hot glue gun but it's messy.

That's pretty good idea. The glue doesn't glue the mold together?

I used to use wax bullets and an old T shirt hung 10 steps in front of me playing quick draw mcgraw. Melt about .5" of candle wax in a pan and drill the primer pockets out (I used .125" drill bit) of some cases that you mark NOT TO BE USED for any other reloading. I used mag primers (no powder, of course) in .357 and .45LC, pressed the case into the cooled wax, and they shot fairly well.

My Son in law's company purchases those foam ear plugs by the 1000's for employees on job sites and I guess I probably have a 100 he gave me to use at the range. They do work to a point but I still prefer to use muffs when at the range........just preference I guess...........

It's only a matter of time before someone decides to use this concept in FOF training...

LOL...It might just work! Not saying I'd do it...yet anyway. I doubt they do more damage than SIMS rounds though. And would definitely require tight scripting and a strong safety regime.

I too used to press wax bullet in .44 spl for a Charter Arms Bulldog I had. Primer only and those suckers punched through cardboard at 7 yards handily...
