Congrats to you and your's!!! Parenthood has been the single biggest agent of 'change' in my life. When you have children it really does change your perspective on many issue's. Good luck, and take some time to take are of your little lady. She'll need the rest, and it's a great time for Daddy and Daughter to get to know each other.

With Christmas around the corner, your gifting options are wide open, but I scored big points w/ the Mother's Locket I bought after our 3rd one was born.

Congratulations!   Crossfires comment about a game changer is an understatement.  You feed'em, water'em, do your best at teaching them right from wrong and it seems she's all grown up in the blink of an eye.  Then the next thing you know you're looking in the mirror at some old guy wondering what happened!

There will also come a day when your daughter becomes a woman and finds the two men in this photo incredibly attractive especially Mr. Muscles on the door. That's the day you're screwed. ;) Edited by MrsMonkeyMan2500

Congratulations. You are about to embark on the hardest job you will ever do but also the most rewarding. Cherish every second you can because they grow up faster than you can ever imagine.

Our granddaughter was born a year ago today and it seems like yesterday.

I told myself if in had a daughter I would keep her chained to a radiator and for every person who hurt her there would be a picture on a milk carton and shallow depression deep in the woods. Didn't have a daughter but now i have a granddaughter.

Well I know I told you to go do the baby thing this weekend but now that its official...congrats. Your world is about to take a change for the best. But you should definitely buy a flamethrower. Dads with guns are scary. Dads with flamethrowers are perceived as unstable and therefore terrifying. e1f8c858f48b17fb8bc5e5a75933b864.jpg

(If you really want to sell it get a steel chair and 2 sets of handcuffs attached to the arms...then sit that little ba$tard in it and then work on your speech. I know you have a few years but its best to be prepared.)

I have already devised cruel "enhanced interrogation" techniques for this moment.

Plus I have a degree in kicking the asses of my sisters boyfriends.

Im just trying to cherish these moments while they last. I was holding her last night and broke down like a little baby - idk overwhelmed I guess.

Yeah im a baby too whatevs

Yep. Just wait. Before you know it, it will be the day you get to walk her down the isle... I had told mine for years I wasn't giving her away because I wanted to keep her.

Thankful I had pretty much cried it all out in the weeks up to her wedding so I pretty much held it together as we went down the isle this summer. She still calls me "daddy". It's hard to explain how just that simple term, after all these years, still cuts right to my heart.

I'll end with, congrats and have the time of your life because we only get to do this once...

I will be the first to admit I am a big baby around my grand child. It is a battle to keep from balling my eyes out and sometimes i loose that battle. It is hard to explain and unless you have a child or grand child it is hard to understand.
