The good guys have never stopped a mass shooting

I can think of several recent shootings which were abruptly stopped once an armed citizen returned fire.  I can't think of a single shooting in the news where a citizen returned fire and the shooting did not immediately stop.  In fact, the only two terrorist attacks which did not occur in gun free states/gun free zones, would be the one at the Draw Muhammed contest and the Chattanooga shooting.  In both those circumstances, once the shooter was engaged it was pretty much over.

But of course they don’t make the national news.

Agreed... and really for me, speaks louder than many things on that topic?

I know in some circles it's not polite to discuss, but it seems this is welcomed here.... That sort of 'slant' that's pervasive across the western media really speaks to me. I paid attention in History class you see, and maybe my HS teacher was better than most, maybe not, but he did make me think for myself, and when I notice things like this, it causes me to question simply "how could that be?", and there's really only one logical conclusion.

Which begets further questions, which is uncomfortable territory for many, so I think the masses are content to parrot "the family" on their telescreens and stick their heads in the sand. It's going to be a real problem one day, as reality inevitably collides w/ delusion in catastrophic ways (e.g. only one reality will survive the encounter).

I think we here are all in agreement about the topic, but it's the pudding of proof in my book. I don't know what other conclusion to possibly come to.

Just my 2-cents.

Thanks for posting these links!  The first you link you have is the the one that took place the week before Sandy Hook.  I always use that one as the main example when I discuss debate with people on this subject.

Church shooting.  Four people killed plus the shooter so that meets their criteria.

Some articles referred to her as 'armed security' for the church but it sounds to me like she volunteered to be armed for church security purposes not that she was a paid and uniformed security guard.  Therefore, it sounds like she was an armed, private citizen in which case that absolutely counts.

The first article says self inflicted gunshot. Doesn't even mention anyone engaging him other than police. I didn't even read the other two.

Because some papers don't report anything that may give gun owners a positive spin:

Though it may or may not have been due to the CCW holder, he shot himself after seeing him.
