TN Action Pistol - Bug Friendly IDPA Match - 12/9/12

Join us for our weekly IDPA match Wednesday Dec 9th at Sumner Gun & Supply.  We will be running all IDPA legal equipment classes but the stages are going to be geared toward the BUG guns.  Many of us stick these little backup guns in our pockets everyday but we rarely shoot them.  This shoot is a great opportunity to practice with your BUG.  It's also a great shoot for new shooters because there will be no drawing from the holster on the clock.

  • There will be eight short and fast stages with stage round counts of 6 rounds unlimited.  If you don't miss you don't necessarily have to reload on the clock.
  • All stages will start with the gun in a box, bag, or on a table, so you don't have to draw from the holster either.
  • There will be several low light stages to up the challenge for you.  Flashlights will be optional in the stage description, but it will be challenging without.  We'll have extra lights if you need one.

Setup begins at 5pm, registration till 6pm, and rounds downrange at 6:10pm. Please be in the doors by 6pm. Hope to you see you there.

By the way I will have several BUG's with me if anyone doesn't have a BUG or for new shooters to play as well.

I've also been calculating scores with the impending new rule.  Changes it up a bit.  A lot of us were really tight with the first four stages, but when the lights went out there were a bunch of misses.  So going from 2.5 seconds per miss to 5 seconds per miss changes things.
