MASSIVE Yellow Jacket wasp nest in Florida

Hate them little F'ers! I was bushogging my neighrbors field and suddenly felt something similiar to getting beanned in the head with a golf ball. Looked back and they were on me! Dont know how many stung me in the back of the head but I felt it all day. On a positive note I sat on the couch drinking beer and watched football the rest of the day. Everytime the wife walked by and gave me 'the look' I just said Yellow Jacket and she walked off.

I hate yellow jackets and wasps with a passion. I've gone to war with them numerous times around my parents house. I've made Raid rich buying their Hornet and Wasp killer.

There are two videos on Youtube , one like the OP and the other is probably the final version from a local news media with voice over from the reporter.  He is a professional exterminator, his killing of the nest, a trade secret.

I burnt kne out in Florida last year while we were working down there. I poured a couple gallons of gas in it after dark and lit it off. We then piled on the old cabinets and doors from the house and had a bonfire. The next morning there was a hole that swallowed a five gallon bucket. A nest like the one in the video would be deadly if you got attacked. I hate any kind of stinging wasp. Also, foxes dig up nest alot.

The tree-hugger in me said "that ecosystem just got seriously messed up".
But, I did take out two large colonies in the ground on my property this year though, so who am I to talk.

The only thing messing up that ecosystem was that massive nest of pests.
