I'm thinking about getting a Walther P99 .40, but I don't have any friends who have one, so I want to see if anybody has an opinion one way or the other on this model.

I never owned one but shot plenty of them. They all went bang and felt fine to me, but I'm not an auto aficianado either. If you like 'em, get one! :)

The only handgun I regret selling! I had the 9mm QA model which I much preferred over the AS. Most accurate gun I have ever shot (at least for me) and it is very compact for a "fullsize" gun. I highly recommend.

I have one (in .40) and it has the best fit and is the most accurate pistol, right out of the box, I have ever shot.

I have bought each of my kids a handgun when the time was right. It got to be that time for my youngest daughter, I think she was about 25. So we go to a gun show and I tell her to handle everything and see what fits her hand.

She picked the Walther and I liked it so well, I bought one for myself.

You can't go wrong.

I had a p99 AS in .40. I loved the look and feel of it in my hand I did sell it and don't regret it one bit. It was by far the snappiest .40 I've ever shot. I let a friend of mine shoot it and he thought the same thing. I'd look at a M&P .40 by Smith it also has a rebate on them.

I really appreciate the feedback, those are the kind of comments I was hoping to see. Thanks for the advice, I think I'll pick one up in a couple of weeks
