Best finish on inexpensive lower

I really like the feel and finish on the Spikes lowers.  I have felt some of the PSA lowers but don't like they way they feel, not smooth enough or just don't feel as good as the Spikes.

 

Which lowers, that are inexpensive, have the same type of finish that the Spikes have?

I've had probably 20 Anderson lowers, with no problem with the finish.

Anderson Lowers for sure. Just cant beat their price, fit and finish

I've built a lot of Anderson lowers. No problem with look of finish but have had a few that tolerances were tighter than others. Slight use of said wore area fixed that right up though.
Another inexpensive lower I like the finish on is Aero Precision.

I've had PSA, Stag, and Anderson cheapy lowers. My favorite has been the Anderson. I got a smattering of the enclosed trigger guard models awhile back and love them. Smooth, flat black finish that has held up well. The only thing I've noticed is VERY tight takedown pin holes, but I don't think that's a bad thing, really.

Parts are arriving today to finish another build and I don't think I could find a better forged lower if I tried. Of course, the CMT billet TGO pieces are works of art, but that's not exactly what I choose to use for a budget/trunk gun! Edited December 2, 2015 by musicman

Beat it up at the range, use CLP to wipe down the exterior after.  Repeat many, many times, and any lower will be smooth as your face after shaving for the first time in a week.

Gotta agree. I look at them more as the AK's of my AR lowers. They're more work horses than anything. I've got some nicer ones for pretty.

Yea, the horsey is a bit hokey.

Regardless, I just saddled one up to that upper I got from you, Kyle. Worked great! They're a close enough color match that it doesn't bug me at all.
