I haven't seen this listed on here yet but it's been posted on other forums, such as M4C over the past week or so. Figured I'd pass along the info and savings on here, in case anyone wanted to do some shopping. Although it applies to all goods found on eBay, you can also find some shooting gear on there as well.

For example... I just purchased a Harris Bipod a couple hours ago, using this deal. It cost me $99. However, with this 30% off deal, I'm getting $30 cashback credited to my PayPal account... so I'm actually only paying $69 for it.

I took some screenshots of the process to help simplify things.

Here's how it works:

1. Make sure you have an active Windows Live account. If you don't currently have one, simply go and create one... and then verify/activate it through the normal email process. Once done, proceed to step two.

2. Go to the Windows Live home page - www.live.com - and use their search browser to find your item. In this case, I'm searching for a Harris bipod, so I enter "Harris Bipod" in the search field.

3. This search query will respond with the following screen. You will see several "hits" or links, but only the first one will show the "Live Search Cashback" icon. An example of this is highlighted in the photo below, with the red area pointing to it... and the "Live Search Cashback" icon highlighted in the red box.

Note: Not every search will result in a link with this icon. You'll find some searches/items will not yield a Cashback link. Try rephrasing your searches, or simply search for another item.

4. Clicking the appropriate, Live Cashback, link will take you to eBay. It will automatically perform the search request for whatever item you used the www.live.com web page to find. From here, you find the item you are looking for and complete the transaction as normal. You will be reminded throughout the procedure of the availability of your refund, as well as the amount of the refund. It will also prompt you to go and create a Windows Live account, if you haven't already done so.

Note: You will notice that all the results use eBay's "Buy It Now" payment option. That is the only way you can use this cashback deal. Payment must be made at time of checkout, using PayPal, as the cashback refund is credited back to your PayPal account via Microsoft.

5. After a few minutes, you will receive a separate email (separate from the normal eBay notifications congratulating you on winning the item) from Windows Live. This email will inform you of your refund amount, and link you to your Windows Live account where you can verify the pending refund. This screen looks like the following:

I know some of you are strongly against the use of PayPal, but some of us still use it. If you don't mind using their service, you can save quite a bit of money on items.

The higher price items will yield bigger refunds. People over on M4C have been purchasing Eotechs, Aimpoints, etc and reaping considerable savings.

Again, this can be used for anything that eBay has to offer... not just gun items. That just happens to be what everyone was buying, since it was posted on a gun forum. I'm sure you can order whatever you want... from high-end electronics to car parts.

Anyway... just figured I'd pass along the savings. Hopefully a few of you can use the program to buy some new toys. :D
