Nickel Smith and Wesson 29-2 Value

I own a Winchester 94ae 444 marlin with wood stock, ported 18 1/2 barrel and made in the US. This is supposed to be a valuable rifle but the value is all over the place on Gun Broker. Someone offered to trade me a Nickel Smith and Wesson 29-2 that is in excellent shape. It does not have the box or paperwork. If I were to make this trade it would purely be with the intent to sell the Smith. Any thought on what a nickel 29-2 in great shape with no box would be valued at. I am a benefactor, so I am not trying to back door sell anything. Any help would be appreciated.

When it comes to nickel Smiths they are worth a little more than the same gun blued, but only if it is mint. When a factory nickel Smith is worn you almost can't give it away; the same if it is an aftermarket nickel job. A really sharp and flawless S&W 29-2 should be worth around 750-850 with the original wood target stocks. Edited November 25, 2015 by Patton

It has the original wood target grips and it is a 4 in model.

I can't say that the 4" is worth more or less, but it may be a less common length.

A .444 rifle is going to be hard to sell even if it is a rare Winchester.

A nickel 29 in excellent condition should be fairly easy to sell.

The Smith is the better gun and should be worth more, but Winchester collectors are an odd lot, so it's hard to tell what the 94 would bring in years to come.
