What's burrowing in my yard??

If there are no signs of "tunneling" along the surface (ala moles), then it is most likely chipmunks.  I love all chipmunks... that are not in my yard.

I've got just the thing you need. She's got ten 6 moles, 2 mice, and 3 birds in just the warm months this summer. Don't see why she wouldn't catch what you've got

I've seen a guy using that rodenator. It seems to do more damage than the vermin but way more entertaining and rewarding to watch.

I'm betting it Moles. I have them here and they have dug soft spots all over my back yard and front yard and build piles of dirt around the patio concrete. I ended the digging around the patio with a couple gallons of bleach poured around the entire patio about an hour before a rain came and it soaked the bleach into the earth around it. Have not had any new ones in over two years in that area. Don't know if it killed the critters or their food but either way they are gone............. :shrug: :shrug:

not sure how that would work out around buried gas lines....
