Underwood Ammo

So freaking excited. Monkey and I did a rather large order this morning of the 10mm defender and 10mm penetrator. Customer service has been excellent so far. They even shipped same day and it will be here Thursday. I cannot wait to run this through the 20 and the 29!

Has anyone used this yet? Any feedback on your expierement with it?

Can't comment on the Underwood ammo, as I haven't seen it.

But I can sympathize on the auto correct. I fight with the darn thing on my Galaxy all the time.

I ran through several boxes of their various 180 gr offerings when I was picking what ammo to take to Alaska. It all fed well and was as accurate as I am. I would buy more especially if I found a good deal.

I ultimately chose Buffalo Bore in both JHP and hollow point to carry up there. Didn't have a chrono but if "felt" 10 - 15% hotter and accuracy was the same. I don't know if that is a valid way to choose the ammo but it is what I did.

Cannot report back on effectiveness on bears as they pretty much left the entire state while we were there.  2 days after we got back a hiker killed a bear on the last trail we hiked on before leaving. Maybe I just smelled bad and the bears stayed away...

So far I'm totally impressed with prompt shipping and what not. It's already in Memphis! I got the itch! Guess we'll test it tomorrow.

I didn't order any of their hollow points because we got way to good of a deal on another site. So far no updates from that site. So we shall see.

Underwood makes really good 10mm ammo - not wimpy stuff either, before I got my Dillon setup for 10mm I was trying out different factory stuff.

It burns cleaner and hits harder than PMC Bronze stuff - and when I decapped it and went to uniform the primer pocket not much was needed - good, accurate ammo that lives up to full house 10mm potential and good brass.

Now if you are in the market for something just as powerful and accurate, and a little cheaper - unfortunantly I have to admit Sig Sauer makes great 10mm ammo.

You will not be disappointed with the underwood stuff - I liked it better than Buffalo Bore stuff - it really depends on your Glocks taste.

We stocked up, purchased a lot of ammo yesterday, still need more of 5.56 but can't find what we want. When and if the 10mm gets shot, I'll save the brass for you. Did you two get that figured out?

Glad it worked out. Make sure you take everything. Man hoards like a squirrel. God love him.

I can bring up some reloads too...that *ahem* have powder.

Forgot to fill my hopper and now I have a dozen or so bullets without powder in them as ARO Matt found out lol

They do! Only they forget where they put half of it so they hoard more. The only difference is he knows where everything is. It just piles up. It's not like Hoarders: Buried Alive or anything. But he has peculiar habits that just make me laugh. I cannot say anything though. I have a stationary collection that most people would think insane. So we bother tolerate our weird habits. But he still hoards like a squirrel! :)
