I was listening to the Ralph Bristol show the other morning (Monday?), and he did a piece about this test. I think he got a 29. I got 27. Hard to believe that out of the 2508 people they surveyed, only 87 got an A or B on the test. Well, not that hard to believe, but it makes you wonder how many of these idiots that failed did go out in vote.

I have been a big time Ford man for 15 years. Then I bought a Toyota. Now I know why the Japanese 3 are decimating the US big 3. Domestic made vehicles are :dirty: and don't deserve to be bailed out.

I feel bad for saying that, but the truth is the truth.

I got a 96. How well will you do?

report_card_text.gif

In spring 2008, a random sample of Americans took a straightforward test designed to assess each respondent’s “knowledge of America’s founding principles and texts, core history, and enduring institutionsâ€â€”ISI’s definition of civic literacy. As detailed below, over 70% of Americans failed this basic test of the kind of knowledge required for informed and responsible citizenship.

Grade Number Surveyed Percent Surveyed

report_card_a.gif (90 to 100%) 21 0.8% :D

report_card_b.gif (80 to 89.9%) 66 2.6

report_card_c.gif (70 to 79.9%) 185 7.4

report_card_d.gif (60 to 69.9%) 445 17.8

report_card_f.gif(59.9% and below) 1,791 71.4 :dirty:

Total 2,508 100.0
