Ankle holster for snubby - Recommendations?

My bride has expressed a wish for an ankle holster for her S&W Bodyguard .38 Special. Does anyone have anything good to say about any brand/model?

I have owned and used leather ones from Galco and Gould and Goodrich, but the one I've always gone back to and used as my ankle holster for my backup revolver in my LEO days was a simple Uncle Mike's nylon rig. It was comfortable, light, held the gun close to my ankle, and was very secure. Never lost my hammerless J-frame in numerous foot chases and scuffles.

My dad wore one for 30 some odd years in numerous makes. He like the Renegade holsters the best, not much of an online presence IIRC, but a very nicely made holster suitable for duty use.

Further research tells me they are closed. too bad, their product was really great. Here's one that is very similar looking, uses real sheepskin lining like the renegades did too. http://www.thewilderness.com/ankle-holsters/the-wilderness-renegade-ankle-holster/

Having been down the investigation and use road, here is some info I discovered.

1. It is deeper concealment than you might expect, practice kneeling, pulling up your pants leg and drawing.
2. As Patton amd frankmako noted, Galco has great reviews. The Renegade cosy partner being a step down and the Alessi ankle glove being 2 steps above.
3. For me, a calf strap is worth the extra dollars.
4. I started with a $20 Bulldog to see if I'd like it...
5. Turns out I'm not a huge fan of ankle carry EXCEPT for urban driving - great access if you've got a BG at your car window.

Thanks all! I ordered her an Uncle Mikes to try out the idea. If she doesn't like the holster but wants to try another maker, I'll get her one of the others. The Galco seems to have the most fans.

I've worn a Bianchi for several months now and love it. Basically have it on 7 days a week. Used to pocket carry but got tired of the drag even with lighter pistols. Now I get a decent size weapon with 11 rounds. Yes, the draw is slower but it works for me. I can run with it in place no problem.
