Any thoughts? It is being compared to a 22lr. The rim really throws me off. I compared the rim to a 32 auto. It looked minutely smaller.

No headstamp at all. I should have listed that. No markings. A customer brought it in and said he has a bunch of them. He left me one to try to identify. My intention was to bring it home and measure it, but I left it at work.

Looks like a .30-32 cal bullet. And that's a significant bottleneck with a sharp shoulder. Not to mention being a rimmed bottleneck cartridge that short, rare indeed.

This is something very old. That's a true rimmed case not the semi rimmed .32acp style.

So how did you acquire one assuming you have one?

I doubt he does, but he apparently has a ton of the ammo. Looks like it is worth a decent amount. I suppose he could have a rifle to shoot it stashed away somewhere. He us supposed to call me next week.
