Any experience with FAS1 Safes?

Considering their suppressor-length safe as a way to keep small hands away from my night-stand gun.  Wondering if any of you have first-hand experience with them?

No experience but that looks nice. I would turn it around though, seems awkward if you were laying in bed, but I'm sure it's just pointed that way for the video.

I didn't think the video showed enough on how to open the safe, and could it be done in the middle of the night?  Otherwise great for a canned gun.

Gentleman is a member on another forum I frequent, many happy customers. The lock is a Simplex design, simple combo done by feel with practice. Will not suffice as a "safe" when not home. The lock can be easily defeated as there are only so many combinations. They can actually be looked up and printed.

1082 different combinations. How long would that take to try them all?

The codes can be reset from factory. The buttons can be pushed in tandem for a single entry. Over 1000 combinations. I welcome the thief with that much time.....while my alarm is going off.....

I have my bedside gun in a similar safe. It's a great solution.

Agreed.  This isn't intended to thwart a thief with nothing but time on his hands;  this is meant to keep small fingers away from the gun.

Kids do the darnedest things sometimes. I don't know, how many you think you might try before you get bored? 15-20? Just food for thought....

True, but on a 100 number left/right dial combination lock, there are much lower odds of getting "lucky".

I have a Fas1 safe ... I have their standard size, not the new one that is long enough for a suppressor attached, although I have contemplated it!  

 

I've had mine for a couple of years now (Ever since my oldest started crawling) and it has worked flawlessly.  My boys play with the buttons once in a while, and I just reset the lock every night before I go to bed so its ready for me to put the correct code in should I need to.
