Wasn't 40S&W specifically designed for women who couldn't handle 10mm? That seems to be the history I remember of the round...

Seems to me the only ones that complain about it being "snappy" are dudes.

You can all give me your
.40 ammo. I'll make sure it
gets properly dispatched.

I'm with you, my .40 does just fine, I made good use of 9mm in the service and know the value of having just one more round so there is no way I'm carrying less.  I don't have a 10mm, but if my .44 mag doesn't kick my 4th point of contact I highly doubt a 10mm will.  I don't snub any caliber, there are some I don't own but that's because I haven't come accross a good deal on one yet.

I shoot them all but recently I've been looking into underwood ammo and bought some of their 40SW gold dot 165 grain bonded. At 1200 fps and 568 ft pounds of energy it is smoking hot out of my Steyr M40A1. But each of my self defense guns has a purpose and I use 9MM. 40SW 45ACP & 357 Magnum calibers in handguns. Like to feel that I'm an equal opportunity shooter!  :pleased:
