dang...

that sucks chip!

I myself just finished a 20 hour work DAY so that we could all have off for thanksgiving.

I guess cellular communications hasn't felt the impact yet..cause they're workin me into the dirt!

I got back to the hotel and when I sat down, I felt like I'd been eaten by wolves and then crapped off a cliff!

so...you don't get a bonus, but you do have a job..and you're not so physically tired that you can't sleep and every muscle in your body aches like you've been beaten.

Hang in there! it WILL get better...one way or another.

That sucks. I remember working for a large healthcare company here in Nashville and being told in a meeting that some people would still get bonuses, but IT staff would not. Then they told us we'd be on call Thanksgiving and the day after even though no one we supported was open.

Sucks...that's one reason I opened my own company. My "bonus" this year is a Sabre M5 upper :-)

Last year...no bonus. Next year...who knows...but it's up to me to decide

Self employed so no bonus for me. Business is down over half and the worst part I came down with Gout. At least I'm still on the right side of the dirt and for that I am thankful. Hope all have nice Thanksgiving.--MP

We are starting to slow down again... I just came back from a 6 week lay off but it looks like I'm working my way right into another one.

My company gave me a termination date of Dec. 12 for a Christmas bonus. Shut down the whole office... The fun of working for a publicly traded company: you are nothing but a number and all that matters is the stock price.

Oh well, as someone else stated I have lots to be thankful for. I am actually viewing this as an opportunity to get out of a huge corporation and work somewhere that I can make a difference.

That sucks right before Christmas. Best of luck to you. And some folks still wonder whatever happened to employee loyality.

I appreciate the thoughts nraforlife. Unfortunately, this company has a history of November layoffs. Their fiscal year runs along with the calender year so they want salaries off the books for 2009.

There are a lot of loyal guys in my office that busted their rears for this company. Motivation is not very high in the office these days...

I just got back from being called into the office today, during my vacation. They're closing the doors. I have to turn in my company truck on Monday, as well as my laptop. So I guess I won't be on here too much. I hope everybody here is able to keep working. I'll be looking for some myself.
