According to the Pew Research Center, there is broad public support for many sensible gun policy proposals such as universal background checks, the closing of the gun show loophole, the banning of assault weapons, trigger locks, reasonable waiting periods and smaller-capacity magazines. These proposed laws are languishing in a dysfunctional Republican-controlled House of Representatives, where they are being spun by conservative politicians as attempts to "take away your guns." Nothing gets done and preventable deaths keep occurring.

Really?  For this first 2 years of the Obama administration, the Democrats controlled everything.  Republicans couldn't stop anything.  They had the perfect opportunity to restrict gun ownership but they didn't... not enough "anti-gun" Dems.  And why does this need to be done on the federal level?  If commie states like NY, MA, NJ, CA, etc want those restrictions then they have that right just as Vermont has a right not to require a carry permit for its residents.  But apparently this author thinks gun rights activists are "misinformed." :screwy:

Sad part is the leftists news has will always push this till it gets passed.

Holder said it will take 2 or 3 generations to get firearms out of our hands by

teaching kids that firearms are bad, and it is working.

Until we get more kids involved in firearms it is going the leftists way.

City folk on the most part do not own firearms, people from other countrys

that come here come from a country that does not allow firearms to owned.

So they do not have a "good feel" for firearms.

I read this and I think. How many Latino Gang and Hispanic gang members along with Black gang members that are under the age of 15 that all pack a gun and they think these people will be the ones voting against guns in 10 years? Some how I find that hard to believe. Without guns most gangs would not be able to exist. Guns play a major role in their drug trades and other illegal activity's and some people that come up with this type of BS really thinks these people will vote to gun control.  Their families won't even vote in favor of them out of fear from the gangs if they even vote at all since many of the population being counted are illegally here and legally can't vote unless they get approved by Acorn and Obama that is............... :mad: ..............jmho

The laws in the states you mentioned, except Vermont, are in direct violation of the Second Amendment.

gangs will never be without guns....they will always be able to get guns.  you can go in any city and if got $$$$$ you can have anything you want.
