Trailer questions

Going to Marietta,GA Friday morning to pick up a motorcycle. Borrowing a trailer from a coworker and its not tagged. Will this cause me any trouble? Anyone have a tagged trailer if need be? I'm in Smyrna but can travel. Wanting to leave pretty early Friday morning

Hmmm. That's a good question.... and one I probably should have thought of before. Of course I've never taken my un-tagged trailer into GA multiple times... not this week anyway. Oops. :hiding:

I'm hoping not. Otherwise I might be taking Greyhound down and ride the bike back

It would appear that GA does require trailer tags with a few exceptions:

Obey the traffic laws and you'll be fine.  Keep the title and/or bill of sale handy.

We just went through this a couple of weeks ago.

If your toe vehicle has TN tags, the trailer with no tag is perfectly legal.

if the tow vehicle has a tennessee tag you are good to go.  i do it all the time with a 20 foot trailer.  i use to keep a one sheet print out of the tennessee law in the truck to show if i got stopped.  but never needed it.
