Turkey shoot this weekend in Lebanon!

Come out this weekend to the Wilson County fairgrounds and have some fun and maybe win something for supper! We'll be starting around 8am and run through 2pm. Bring your shotgun or use one of our loaners. We'll be shooting for whole country hams, slabs of bacon and of course turkeys. We might even slip in some money rounds. Ammo is provided and all shotguns are legal as long as the barrel is 36" or under.

All proceeds go toward restoration of the 7th TN CSA infantry flag currently in storage at the TN state museum. This is the flag that General Hatton would have used to muster in troops right here in Wilson county and surrounding areas.

It's great fun and for a great cause. Bring the family we had a couple of eight year olds win last year, and you can't get a bigger grin on a kid's face than when he brings home the bacon, literally!

So will all the rounds be "traditional" type rounds where closest pellet to center wins? Will you have "open" rounds for rail guns set up to shoot a 2/2/10 shell? How many feet will you be shooting from?

closest to the center wins. Shoot offs for ties. All guns allowed as long as the barrel is not over 36". 12, 16, 20ga and .410 shells are provided.

It's a fun event for a good cause and some pretty good eatin' if you're a winner.

Last turkey shoot of the season is tomorrow the 7th. We had a great time last Saturday and handed out a truck load of hams, bacon and turkey. We'll have mostly hams and bacon this time with just a few turkeys. We also do money rounds with $30 payouts and scatter in a few shooters choice rounds with the winner's picking the prize.

We had a number of ladies and young shooters last week which was nice to see. Come on out and shoot a few and you may even take home some good eatin'!

The Wilson County fairgrounds is easy to find, just drive down Peyton Rd. on the south side and you'll see us off to the left. It's a little easier than going through the main gate.  It's a great cause and a lot of fun, come join us.

Is this $5/shot?

I haven't been to a turkey shoot in years, and I think wifey might actually enjoy it! She doesn't, however, enjoy 12g and that's all I have. Do you have a light kicking .410 loaner?
