This is one of the Black Bears that are growing in the lowlands of Eastern North Carolina, known locally as "Down East".  The farmers Down East have stopped growing tobacco and are growing food crops. The weather is so mild that the bears don't hibernate. This portly Black Bear was sitting in a cornfield eating roast sneers. The world record Black Bear is from Hyde County NC at around 880lbs. They killed bigger bear who weighted in at over 900lbs but he had been feeding on hog carcasses from a hog farm, so the state people figured he was baited and disqualified him. In 1974 there were 2000 Black Bears "Down East" today there are 20,000. I don't hunt bear, their meat is too black. has a gamey taste.

There's one (or was) at the bear park around Gatlinburg/North Carolina that was awful close.  Lazy thing only had to sit and wait for tourists to throw apples his way.  He could catch like a MLB player!

It's the Gluten. I am telling you, once you cut that out, the swelling just goes away!
