Well I'm too cheap frugal to spend big $$$ for a movie theater. Let me know when it's released on LD. :waiting:

Do they still make laser discs??

Not just nerds, but old nerds! What's next-the soundtrack on 8-track?

Better question....do adults still refer to others as nerds for liking sci-if?? ;)

The Japan market trailer is very cool, lots of scenes not seen yet:

I saw in the news that there is a guy with a terminal illness and he doesn't think he'll make it to the opening day. His dying wish was to get to see the movie. I heard that the studio had compassion and is letting the guy watch it early.

Sure did. J. J. was very nice in having this done. According to the feed I saw it was his doing.

Depending on the gig, I'll throw my hat in that ring as well. :)

Good thing that they did, too. He's dead now.

My company rented out the IMAX theater in Cool Springs for the release. That is all

Are you hiring?

Need an assist with concession runs?

I can only hope they told him how the entire story wraps up, including the additional films they'll likely make.

This to me would be the equivalent of passing away before George RR Martin finishes A Song of Ice and Fire... I will come back to haunt him....

Glad they made this happen for the guy. I recall a similar situation happening when they made the other three films, in fact they even made a movie about it.

Great movie.  Took 3 of 4 of my sons, and stated a new tradition.  Glad we got there 2 hours before it started, they were already seating people.  We were able to get excellent seats and 4 together.  Then I spent a fortune in keeping 3 sons from starving to death.

Nice. We bought tickets for all of our employees for a 5:00 showing tomorrow but we don't get the whole theater to ourselves.
