Cheap .223 (.224) projectiles.

I keep meaning to post this but life has been kicking my butt lately and haven't had much inter webs time. Surplusammo.com runs a 24hr sale every month or so on Armscor 55gr fmj and I think the sale price is around $281 + shipping for 4,000 projectiles. The shipping bumped it up to $320 ($0.08 ea) which is better than anything I've sourced locally in some time.
Here's where it gets good, they have now gone to free shipping on them and I think that's all the time so that puts you at about $0.07ea when on sale. I found out that they have a coupon code "saarocks!" Which takes an extra 5% off every item you purchase (even sale items) which put my last purchase at about $0.065 per projectile.
You can buy them in lesser qty (500,1,000 or 2,000) if you want but the price does go up slightly.
I think the non sale price is like $29? So use the code and free shipping option and it's still pretty cheap.
Anyways, just thought I'd post this in case anyone else is tired of paying $89+ per thousand like I was. If the code doesn't work then try it without the "!" But I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be there and I'm pretty sure it said that the code was good all the time.

I had never heard of Wideners before. I've run through a many of those projectiles back when David had the pulls consistently. I'd buy a few thousand at every gun show. As a matter of fact I had just reached my (personally set) minimum inventory last month and I don't think that I had bought any since everything dried up during "The Great Panic". I actually increased my shooting during that time and kept a handful of others in ammo while things were scarce so there's no telling how many thousands of those things I had put back. I still try to buy pretty much all my supplies through David I don't hit the gun shows much any more and it's a 1-1.5hr drive to his house so when I go, I try I restock on everything.
Thanks for the link, I'll check them out.

Widners has been pretty dependable over the years. I'm able to order online and then pickup locally so they are a good source for me. I've even bought a few guns from them.

I sure wish they were local to me. I haven't had time to look at much yet but it did seem like some of their 8# jugs of powder were $30-$45 cheaper than Outpost Armory which is the only local reloading supply shop to me. I can be at the shops in Nashville in an hour but their prices are about the same so I end up buying 95% of my powder through David. I will definitely stop by next time we go to east to though.
