Colt revolvers

I'm working on a Colt King Cobra (V frame mid '80/90s), and found the supply of spare parts for these later Colt revolvers to be getting pretty darned thin. Stuff like latch springs, firing pin springs, etc. are not available from the regular parts houses. Reckon we're seeing the end of an era?

Guns or Gun Digest, forget which one, had story on collectible aspects of Colt revos not long ago. Even with incredible jump in street price, they are even more sought after these days, so it's certainly not surprising that available stocks of parts would eventually get scarce.

You thinking about September's American Rifleman?  Yes, the price of Snake guns has gone through the roof....they were expensive enough brand new.

Duh, well at least I had it narrowed down to gun magazines. :)

I had an old Police Positive in .38 s&w, and a New Service .45 and I never really liked the way either one felt. The grip angle was too cramped on the one, and too wide on the other. A S&W K or N model always felt better. This King Cobra/Anaconda/Trooper mk V frame size feels pretty nice, however. And every Colt (revolver) trigger I've shot was just plain sweetness.  I'll miss 'em.
