Introduction to NRA Bullseye Pistol/CMP Service Pistol Clinic

TN Gun County will be hosting a clinic for aspiring pistol shooters on 19 and 24 October 2015

Meet at 1830 in the training room of the store.

Cost for matches is 15.00 (Includes range fees and targets)

Required Equipment:

.22 or any center fire handgun .32- .45 caliber

Or both

At least 100rds of ammo

Eye and Hearing Protection

Suggested Equipment:

Some form of optical aid that allows you to see bullet holes at 25 yards.

 

Bullseye Pistol is the most challenging and yet the simplest form of competitive shooting.

You shoot a handgun with only 1 hand unsupported at targets 25 yards away at indoor matches and 50 yards and 25 yards in outdoor matches.

A match consists of 90 rounds per weapon fired.

CMP Service Pistol Matches are where you earn “LEG” Points for your Distinguished Pistol Shot Badge and if you shoot well enough you can earn a Presidents 100 tab at Camp Perry. 

Monthly matches will follow. It is a great way to refine your shooting skills. It will teach you the trigger control.

This Clinic is designed for everyone. You do not have to be an experienced gun person.

It is not a tactical course and you will not use a holster. It is just the fundamentals. 

 

Instructor will be Dave Keenom

Dave is a 17 year veteran of law enforcement 14 years SWAT, NCOIC of TN’s National Guard Shooting Team, and an All Guard Shooting Team Member. Dave is Distinguished in both Pistol and Rifle.

I enjoy shooting bullseye but distance, schedule, and lack of matches in the winter months make it difficult.
