Another political whore heard from

Posted

He's from Michigan. That means GM, Ford and Chrysler own him just as the entertainment industry owns the reps from California, the mining industry owns the reps from PA and West Virginia etc..

Guy should be impeached. So should all the others that break their oath of office... which would be just about every single elected representitve. Wipe it clean I say.

In case no one noticed this politician is a Republican, and he said "its not our money". Now who do we vote for? :dunno:

Personally, I have had that problem for about... well... as long as I have been voting, greenego. Granted, that is only the past three elections, but I think it is safe to say that the Republican party betrayed that which initially put it into power long before 12 years ago.

As for this moron, I sincerely hope his electorate takes notes and deals with him accordingly when he comes up for re-election. Something tells me to doubt it, though.

As Bryan pointed out, he is from Mich. and is supposed to represent and fight for Mich.'s best interest, right or wrong. Now in my opinion, it is in their best interest to let the big 3 restructure under chapter 11 and deal a big blow to the UAW, but what do I know?

This political stooge was in congress for the last 16 years...he just lost his seat to a democrat.

we'll see if the Dem thinks its "not our money".....

I emailed that particular Ex-congressman and asked him to clarify what he meant and further explained that unless it's a good response I was going to email my sister and brother in law who live in his district and make sure they know his views on our money.

Big three are shaking in their boots. If they fall the South is poised to become the next Detroit and Cleveland. Japanese, Germans, and Koreans all have auto plants in the South and will benefit from them falling.

Needed to ask the Congresscritter why tax payers should fund some bailout where the UAW workers have primo health insurance while the ones paying for the bailout healthcare can't even touch the big 3s. Not our money ? Someone needs to remind him : Of the people, By the people, FOR the people. Government needs to start remembering they work for the public we aren't just a bank for them. Hope he gets voted out real soon.

I've recently come to the opinion that the US should let the big 3 fail - fall directly on their noses.

Someone will buy up their assets, patents and the like, and open a new company in the south.

I hate to say that, as it sounds "anti-american" when I hear myself say it. But better that than to move directly to open socialism....

And I hope they can fit those G550s up their butts - cause that's where they belong...

This is not the first time the big three has been in trouble. If they are bailed out it won't be the last. I am afraid the next step the government my take is to make sure all the autos build in the US are union. From what I understand most of the money given to the auto makers so far has gone to pay for union obligations. Unions give big bucks to politicians and circle goes on. The whole thing makes me sick. :)

So, is it time for the revolution. Our governments are owned by big business, and political party has nothing to do with it. both the parties are high paid stooges. We dump billions to wall street with no strings or accountability, but we ask Detroit to show a viable plan. The entire bail out deal is one massive wad of horse ****. We the people are being bent over and getting screwed plain and simple

I'm gonna have to agree with Jackdog. I mean...bailing out the big 3 is like the government saying "here, we want you to pay for a car...but you don't get the car". and whats worse, we have no means to say no..they're already going to do it even if we DON'T want them to.

Its the same as the bailout. I emailed my congresscritters and told them emphatically that I did NOT want to do that. Only my representatives listened. my senator did not. This will be his last term if my vote counts at all.

What's the old saying? "don't bind the mouth of the kine that tread the corn?"

they've apparently forgotten that.

Yes, it's well past time for a new revolution.

okay here is the solution. the big three have always supported the oil companies by build less that efficient cars and trucks. So let the oil companies bail there arses out.

Honestly, what is it going to take to get people mad? So quickly they forgot about 9-11. Then the housing bubble pops from the culmination of the Dems bad housing/loan policy. Now we are bailing out everyone because they are too big to fail. They elect a mesiah who promised change, but is now changing his original message. And finally, the money we pay as taxpayers is NOT OURS!?!?!?

WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE????

I think most Americans are to stupid to get mad about anything our government does.

I don't think the word is stupid its ignorant. They don't teach history or civics in schools anymore. Just look at all the man in the street interviews. Most of these people have no idea how the government or country is suppose to work. Its very sad, but these are the dumb masses. Its way past time for term limits and at least a question or two about our country before you allow someone to vote.
