.22 Suggestions

I have a million things on my "To Buy" list, but only one will save me money in the long run.... a .22. I'm not looking to spend more than 300 bucks or so. The best choices so far look like:

AA conversion kit for my Glock 17

Beretta Neos

S&W 22

Whatever it is, it needs to be full size. I'm sure there are some revolvers that get close to that price point that I've missed. Any suggestions are welcome. If you have something that fits the bill that you're willing to part with, PM me.

never shot the S&W .22 but have heard a few things good about it. i have a beretta neos and i like it but if i had to do it all over again ide go with a ruger mark II but a mark III would be fine too (mark III has more required safety features). A buddy has a browning buckmark that is a good gun as well. the buckmark is a take off of some other gun and the beretta neos is a take off of the buck mark.

in the end ide get the ruger mark II/III and they offer 2 different grip styles (luger and 1911, luger=metal, 1911=plastic)

I am a big fan of conversion kits. I have one for my 1911s and love it so the AA for your Glock is a great choice.

If you want something dedicated to .22lr I also second the vote for the Ruger 22/45 Mark III. You can get them with short or long barrels for under $250.

I have owned a 22 like the one KahrMan has for sale and loved it. Now I use a 22 conversion for my 1911 and I think it is great. I like to be able to use the same grip and trigger pull for practice as for my primary pistol.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the options listed, but the conversion works for me.

I did some trading today and picked up a CZ Kadet (whole pistol, not the kit) to go alongside my Rami and P01. :dunno:

So, I bought myself a S&W 22a and ordered the conversion kit. Problem solved. Thanks for all the input.

Congrats on your birthday presents, dude, and happy birthday. :dirty:

Thanks, man. Experiencing so little financial remorse over sending 200 rounds downrange felt good. Now, all I need to do is save up some more pennies so I can come relieve you of a Model 10.
