I live in East Nashville. Where can I go to fire my shotgun? I know about Guns and Leather in Greenbrier and The range in Murfreesboro. Anyplace else?

Thanks

Looking for a tactical range for shooting buckshot at 15 yards max. Indoor or outside is fine.

BTW Guns and Leather in Hendersonville does not allow shotguns. I found that out today after waiting half an hour for them to open. They said that has always been their policy but what do I know?

The very best place I know of is The OK Corral in Woodbury.  They have a three sided pit where you can go and let your inner Rambo let loose.  It's a stretch, though you could go with a training partner, set up a few targets and train.

Unless they've changed, The Nashville Armory allows shotguns.  It has to be 00 buckshot and can't be steel.  You might call ahead to make sure nothing has changed.  One thing about The Armory - there is a line about six inches above the top of the target.  If you shoot above the line it is $8 per hole, so you'll want to watch for that - though it would never be an issue if you are in control of your body and gun.

OK  Corral-- was there this weekend. Shotguns no problem, regardless of ammo type. Was talking to the owner (Grady) and he said that they even allow Barrett rifles on the rifle range. A bit of a drive from East Nashville, but the thing to do is bring a bunch 'a guns, ammo, targets and some lunch, and pay your flat $5.00 range fee and make a day outing. Whenever I go, I spend time on multiple ranges... the same 5 bucks covers you all day for everything except the cost of clay targets (if you shoot on the trap range).

Wait, you said East Nashville? Just wait until after dark and have at it.  :)

Seriously though, there's also Charlie Haffner's place down near Spring Hill. It's not 3-sided like OK Corral but shotguns are good to go.

The Rifle range is 200 yds. max., so it's pretty short for a Barrett-- however, steel targets are permitted beginning at the 100 yd. mark. But Grady (the owner) confirmed with me last Saturday (10/3/15) that they DO allow them. Range closes at 6pm sharp, and he is pretty strict on that so that neighboring landowners don't complain about after-hours noise levels. Any rifle outside of full-auto is permitted on the rifle range. Full-auto is restricted to the shotgun pit. Shotguns are permitted in the pit (any load), and on the trap ranges (trap/dove loads only). Not sure if there are rifle range restrictions on Tannerite targets, but there may be-- I've never taken any out there, so I don't know.

shooting 200yrds with a 50 is pointless, its just a noise maker, I use to shoot at Terrys he put all kinds of range restrictions back in June at 330yrds it was kind of okay but still pointless.

How big is the shotgun pit? I shoot FA and FA belt-fed

I do have Tannerite but I don't want to press my luck and ruin it for everyone else.
