It's not Ron Ramsey's post that gets me.  I might not have said it the way he did... or in ithe venue he did, but most of us here are for personal responsibility no matter your beliefs... so....

It is the Dem. representative's complete mis-statement of the intent of Ramsey's post that makes me bellylaugh.  It could be a quote from a Will Ferrell movie.

Enjoy.

For those who don't know me, I don't have a stance in the religion conversation... so I'm not on anyone's "side".

Here's the short of the story for your enjoyment...

Ramsey: "I would encourage my fellow Christians who are serious about their faith to think about getting a handgun carry permit," Ramsey wrote. "I have always believed that it is better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it. Our enemies are armed. We must do likewise."

Clemons: "There is an eerie absence of logic in his statement that ties one's Christian faith to firearms ownership that is offensive to all religions," Clemmons said. "Senator Ramsey is essentially saying that we should all run out and get a handgun carry permit to prove how serious we are about our Christian faith."

  ... no, no that's not what he was saying at all.   :bowrofl:

So he is an opportunist. Capitalizing on the moment. To bad there doesn't seem to be anyone out there that represents interest other than their own.

Some like ramsey will tell you they will represent you during election time.  After the election, the highest bidder wins.

Some?  That's all politicians.  Voting is the interview process and once they have the job, they forget what they were elected to do...  REPRESENT THE INTEREST OF THE PEOPLE!

Vs. represent the interest of their wallet and influential friends.

Word!

Maybe a 20$ fee to pay for paperwork but over 100?

maybe, if we can get the politicians to pay us $20 every time they open their trap or write something down.   They should have to get a license to talk/write, that's ok to do, right?
