Great deal bersa! Good for you.

My father & I each had one of those back in the mid-1960's. They put many, many squirrels on our table. And quite a few rabbits to boot. Great little guns.

I have one just like it in the safe I've had for many years. I've had many a bowl of squirrel dumplings and fried rabbit thanks to that sweet shooter. I can't even begin to guess how many rounds have been down the barrel, but it shoots just like it did on day one.

I had one similar to it a few years back but it was a magazine feed and didn't have a scope. I sold it because I was wanting a tube feed so it would hold more rounds and the scope was a bonus on this one. I didn't have a squirrel gun and my 10 year old grandson has ask me several times to go squirrel hunting with him and I agreed to go so had to get a good squirrel gun. I told him once the leaves have fallen we would go. He keeps fussing every day when he wakes up and looks at the woods and the leaves are still hanging.......... My son bought about 25 acres of land in Kingston Springs a few years ago and has lots of timber and squirrels and even some deer on it  My 10 year old grandson took a 14 point last year right behind the house about 250 yards.

My all time favorite .22 rifle.  One of them was also my first.   I have a second one now, always on the lookout for a third.

The kid will love it.

Great find & what's also worthy is the time you get to spend in the woods with your 10 year old grandson hunting. He'll cherish those hunts the rest of his life. My granddad let me tag along, when I was too young to have a gun and taught me how to hunt. He was born in 1882 and passed in 1970, but I still remember and cherish those hunts. Hope you both get lots of enjoyment and put lots of squirrels in the pot, with this rifle.
