Yeah, legs aren't supposed to go that way.  Was hoping it would work in our favor but so far it doesn't look like it.

Yeah, to give up 96 yard TD from 1st and goal, that's an understatement.

edit: well, crap, now it's suddenly a ballgame -- guess I'll have to watch the second half ;)

I guess I have to stick around to see if UT shows up for the second half.

Well all tied up now, lets see who wants it.

All the stars and planets were in alignment over Neyland stadium this evening.

Glory hallelujah!

First play of the game likely made the diff, no kidding. I'll give Dobbs credit though, amazing performance.

Yes, but Chance Hall and Jack Jones, even though True Freshmen, stepped up when they had too and played like true veterans today!!  Great job to both of them!!

time to give Butch an extension and a raise.  ;)

Thank the Lord ( or whoever you praise)  that UT won.   Business was good all day.

Maybe they need to wear gray helmets for every game.

Ya'll beat us. I hate that. I was very surprised it wasn't a blow out considering Chubb got put out on the first play. I hoped I would never have to say this but Congrats on the win.

Fulmer did beat Florida 5 times and one was on the way to the National Championship ... I'm sure most fans see that as the Glory Days by comparison.

There are people who liked Payton Manning ......but didn't realize he never won a National Championship for Tennessee

As previously mentioned, he never even beat Florida either.

SC is so scared that Spurrier quit

As an LSU fan I'm convinced that Spurrier quit so he won't have to lose to Tennessee...he can lose every game in a season and the one game he would want to win is against Tennessee.

All joking aside, I hope he doesn't have health issues or anything. We'll never see another coach like Spurrier ever again. I'll miss his epic rants and jokes.

his press conference is live on ESPN now.  Does not sound at all like he is sick.

Stepping down not retiring he says.

I think he's being asked to resign so they can start the coaching search now.  I felt like this was going to be his last year.  Football is cyclical and teams go through these phases, but the fans get restless and forget that Steve pulled them from an absolute dumpster fire to pretty successful program.  They should put a statue of him in front of the stadium, instead they'll run him out and think they can draw in some top name like Michigan did with Harbough, only they'll soon realize they aren't Michigan, they're SC and getting Spurrier was like catching lightning in a bottle.

I agree 100%. He really did make a big impact in South Carolina...they were never really considered a power house but he got recruiting going and won some pretty big games over the years.

I have no clue who they would bring in tho...can't imagine they would want to give the ole Kiffin curse a try. If UGA fires Mark Richt I could see him being a potential replacement...Kirby Smart said he would only leave Alabama if UGA opened up so he's out of the question.

John Chavis at A&M could be a wild card...he's never really shown an interest in being a head coach tho.

If Justin Fuente's success continues at Memphis, he's out and on to a bigger program.  I could see SC making a run at him.
