MagSafe Ammo

I was on this website earlier http://personalsecurityzone.com/index.html and came across some MagSafe Ammo. It is a little pricey for 8 rounds but, sounds very interesting. I was wondering what you all thought about it?

Also the home page of the website, toward the bottom/right has some interesting info on self defense.

Well:rolleyes: I wouldn't want to get shot by it, but gimmick ammo is usually just that....A gimmick.

Stick w/ names like Hornady, CorBon, Fed. Hydrashok ect.

I'm with Astra, stick with well known brands of ammo. After all, you may have to trust them for your life one day. Also, buy plenty of extra to put through your guns at the range.

If you're paying $20+ for 8 rounds of self defense ammo, you can go ahead and assume its gimmick ammo. Get something from a well known/respected brand.

Amen. Heck that's more than the DRT stuff. And it'll shoot through an oak tree to get bad guy behind it, yet won't penetrate sheetrock, so it's safer for home defense.

Pre fragmented ammo has proven to under penetrate in ballistic gel and in real shootings.

The quickest way to lose a gunfight is to use ammunition that cannot deliver sufficient penetration.

My personal favorite and one that comes out at the top of the list is the Remington Golden Sabre.

The Speer Gold Dot is good, as well.

Well, the Magsafe might be as good as the Speer, assuming you are throwing it at the bad guy!
