I guess I just don't have an addictive personality for the long term. I bought WoW last December when I got my new PC, played until May then quit. I play maybe a few hours a week. I enjoy it, but it's repetitive and I don't really care about having Tier 4 gear or whatever.

I liked the Warcraft 3 storyline, so I wanted to play the new expansion. I'll play it, hit 80, then quit again lol. I have gamers ADD.

It is sad though how people can get so addicted to it though. I have a buddy that has 2 accounts and will play on 2 computers so he can run his other characters through dungeons.

mmo and rpg arent the same imo. yeah you can put the two together but when i played http://www.lineage2.com/ i didnt RP i just wanted to kill b!^(%es.

They aren't necessarily the same but MMO's typically incorporate RPG play to build community and make the game more immersive. They generally aren't designed to be straight hack-n-slash type games. I started with Neverwinter Nights on AOL (waaaaaay back) and played a little UO when it came out but haven't done anything since then.

Currently just running the co-op campaign maps but I'll get some of the others in there tomorrow.

GT Rat you da man. Accepted your invite. Unfortunately there are no PS3 plans for this game so PC's the way to go. This game is seriously addicting and is pretty lag/hiccup free. We need to get a crew together for some Zombies vs Survivors insanity ;-D

I've updated the server to include most of the stock maps.

Started playing it last night, after I ... um... came into possession of a working copy. :dunno:

Beat the single player campaign, but have yet to hop into an online game since installing Steam.

You're welcome to try my server. Hope steam recognizes your "working copy" as legit or you'll get a global ban.

Not like I'll be out anything.

Mainly just acquired it to see if I liked the game play enough to get my own copy. Not sure if I will or not. Fun game but kinda... eh... lacking...

True but you'll have to set up a new steam account if you wish to acquire a legit copy. It may also kill any existing software you have purchased via steam if any.

Don't have any (other software). Haven't used Steam since CounterStrike, and that's been years. Only game I dabbled in (okay, I was obsessed) was WoW, within the past 6 years... and CS was probably a good 2 yrs before that.

Just tried to connect to a server and it wouldn't let me. Just knocked me back to the main menu screen. So either Steam won't allow it, or the crack prevents it. Oh well. Like I said, still not sure I like the game enough to buy a copy myself.

Verbal, the game really shines in online. I dont think single is nearly as fun...good for practice though. Hopefully I can get some play time in this week on your server GT.

Yeah, figured it would be more fun online... playing with friends. That's usually how any co-op game goes. Single player is "meh" and good for learning the game... and co-op is the bread and butter.

I may pick up a copy today. May not.

I'm hoping for some play time after work over the next few days but it may be late on Thursday or sometime Friday before I can get online. That's the pain in the rear about kids. It really kills your hobby time.

We picked up an XBox 360 Pro over the Thanksgiving holiday and a few games to go along with it. Left 4 Dead was one of them and we finally got around to playing it some last night. Lots of fun. :)

Just toss a Molotov at her.

Played this over at a friend's house the other day, in co-op mode online... it freakin rocks.

I might actually get into gaming now.

Server is still up. Not sure of the Xboxers can connect to it but the PC people definitely can. Currently it's on the Hospital co-op level.
