oh yeah wally world is having a mad run on hot hands. Cold temps and prime rut what more could you want( besides a monster walking in @ 25 yrds.)

I just got back from checking to see if the guy that owns the land I hunt on, finished cutting the corn. He was cutting it while we were there and we watched him finish. We also watched a doe feed in some of the corn that the picker lost. It was about 10:30 central time while she was out there.........we saw 5 more deer in grass fields on the way home. I got my 300 Rem mag ready to go.

It is usually about 5-7 degrees colder where I hunt than the forecast. So I am guessing it is going be mid to low teens saturday morning. Saw a 8 point trailing a doe yesterday. I am getting excited.

By the time I get out it will likely be plenty warm. Gotta pick up my new freezer first thing saturday, or I won't have anywhere to put it!

Cold just means you don't have to hurry to a cooler with your first deer, ya get to keep on hunting. I'll hear you guys Saturday morning, when it sounds like CWII is starting! I love hearing that first shot roll through the hills on opening day.

i've been waiting all year to go hunting with my new 700 bdl dm in 30-06 with a 3x9 leupy!!! i've got a cold, wife is nagging at me to stay home because hunting 4 times this season just must be too much for her(grrrrr), but i'm gonna be out there hoping to get something! got a 8 pointer in m/l now i need a doe or a really really big buck!!!

Got up at 4 am, 12 degrees brrrrrrrrrrrr Got in the shooting house before daylight, fired up the propane heater AAAAHHHHHH.........Watched a spike for about an hour then a doe for about 45 min.......gonna go back this afternoon

Shoot the wife and mount her on the wall. You get to try out the new rifle, and no more nagging wife. Problems solved.
