Surplus 7,62x54R value?

Yeah, yeah, yeah...I know. We all wanna vomit when we see the same old inane BS. "what's my ??? worth" threads.

But.....I have traded into a mess of stuff and one thing in the mess was some 7,62x54R Albanian 147g steel core brass case corrosive ammo.
I have managed to FINALLY get my bore copper free. No small feat, lemme tell ya! I won't be launching copper condoms for this rifle again. SO, this stuff only has value for more trading.

Can't find squat for sale. Must be dried up and gone. I can remember it going for a dime each or cheaper.
What's it bringing now?

The 440 rd spam cans are about $100 these days. Being brass cased, I'd assume this would be worth a bit more.

On second thought, that stuff is very dangerous. You should send it to me for immediate disposal. ;)

Last time I bought any surplus 7.62x54r was just under a quarter a round.

I shot a can of the Albanian brass-cased 54R several years ago. It was as accurate as other ball ammo I shot in my rifle. The best thing about it is that extraction is easier in mosins prone to difficult extraction; for that reason alone I would consider it a bit more desireable.

According to ammoseek.com  the cheapest you can find 7.62x54r ammo online is 31.8 cents per shot, not including tax or shipping...   I haven't bought any surplus in a while, I've been buying PPU so I can start handloading for the mosin in hopes of getting a sub moa target load

Report back what you find, with retail prices going up on this latest batch, I would be surprised if it is under $200.00 a crate at the creek.
