Another 380 Thread

Yeah, it's one of those. I'm looking for a tiny handgun that is easily concealable no matter what I'm wearing. My smallest handguns are Glock 26 and LCR in 357. I'm not a fan of getting another handgun caliber, but with a sheet of size comparisons, I've come to like one certain firearm. I chose to look at 380's due to no 9mms small enough to warrant another $400 on a handgun that is "similiar" in size to my 26.

Now, onto the 380. I've been eyeballing the NAA Guardian. Weight is not an issue, but due to size I wanted something hefty. This is obviously no range gun or long distance shooter, but more for back up or very hot summer day carry. The simplicity of the firearm is also very appealing to me.

Anyone have any experience with them?

Several years ago I had a NAA Guardian in 32 ACP. I never was very comfortable carrying it because it would not reliably feed and the bullets seemed to tumble and "keyhole" the paper. Maybe I had a lemon.

I currently keep a LCP around quite often and it has been perfect so far.

I've owned and occasionally carried a NAA Guardian in .380 for many years. Definitely not a target gun and nasty to shoot -- the front of the trigger guard smacks my fat trigger finger during recoil. Built like a brick, reliable and very concealable. Don't carry it often, but I haven't sold it either.

PS- I carried it in my back pocket during a very hot, very humid, very active and outdoors Tennessee summer. It doesn't rust. Ever. Hear that, Sig-Sauer? Edited by enfield

I've been carrying a TCP for years for back pocket carry in a pocket holster. It's thinner than a standard wallet and very concealed. Great for occasions where I can't have a full sized pistol on my hip.

I've nothing but good things to say about the LCP or P3AT as both are excellent products for the money spent. They both also have the degree of relibility and minute of bad guy accurcy I want. If your leaning towards the NAA Guardian then I suggest a look at the Seecamp .380. The Kahr 380 nightrunner mentioned is probably more obtainable though then a Seecamp 380.

Yep. The LCP is nothing special, but it works real reliable and accurate enough.

If you don't mind a SAO the Sig P238 is hard to beat. Great trigger, short reset, easy to rack (especially one handed) and very small. Only down side is it does have a manual safety that needs to be disengaged before firing. With you coming from a Glock it might not be the best choice though because it would require a lot of time training to get your muscle memory to remember to disengage the safety before firing.

Why not just get a Glock 42?
