I bought one of these, and so far I think I like it. If you look inside, there are nylon tie down straps with velcro on each end. I'd like a couple more to secure magazines in the case.

 

Were could I buy some if these, or what would I call them in a google search?

If you can't find them pre-made I know strapworks has built very similar straps for our scout troop in the past to our specs for velcro tie-downs.

Not exactly what your looking for but you can buy 75 foot rolls of velcro in a few different widths.

I use it at work all the time.

No affiliation, they've just taken really great care of our scout troop anytime we need anything like straps, webbing, or velcro.

The straps with this case are nylon, with a section of hook sewn on one side and a section of loop sewn on the other.

 

Anybody got any other clever way to secure mags to the MOLLE/PAL type loops in the case?

I got 10 coyote brown nylon straps with loops on one end and hooks on the other. You're welcome to them, if you're ever up near Smyrna/Lavergne or Franklin.

Home Depot sells Velcro straps designed to bundle wires together. They should work perfectly.

If not Walmart sells huge packs of Velcro in various sizes, widths and lengths.

Thanks guys. I got three from Larue Tactical. Instead of putting them in an envelope, they came in a large box crammed with catalogs, pocket constitutions, bumper stickers, and even a tactical paint mixer! :shake:

 

Shipping was more than the straps, but now I'm set.
