Trust Engraving Question.

Ok so my SBR was approved for a CZ Scorpion Evo. I'm going to get it engraved this week but I have a question. Is there an issue with engraving the lower "trigger pack" by the magwel? The S/N is obviously engraved from the factory in the correct and acceptable position. But I'm talking about trust info and City, State.

For those of you that don't know about the cz I'll put this in AR-15 terms... It would be like engraving your upper with the trust info, not the lower receiver.

Or if you had an SCAR the S/N is on the metal upper and the trust info on the plastic lower....

I'm wanting to do this cause it is way easier to remove the trigger pack then it is do dissemble the whole gun to get the upper engraved.

Must be whatever is considered the "receiver" .. It's ok to engrave the receiver and if in a position that is normally covered up you can also engrave an external peripheral but the receiver must have the manuf and s/n info on it..

If the trigger pack is removable I'd think that would not be acceptable as the only location.... there's a few exceptions like FALs where the receiver is the upper portion...

So I could hand engrave the receiver under the stock adapter(hidden but on the actual receiver), then also have the trigger pack engraved, its not part of the receiver but it would be 100% visible?

You really should make every effort to engrave in a visible area if one exists.. outside of that you have some possibilities.. I wouldn't suggest doing a lot of hiding when there's adequate and appropriate room elsewhere.  Keep in mind reg is only .003 which is about the thickness of a sheet of copy paper.  It can be discrete and still legal.

Its mostly because the CZ Evo receiver is a PITA to dissemble.

The engraving can be in the polymer, it doesn't have to be metal.. I do a lot of UMPs, etc. The web pics I could find look like there's a ton of real estate that could be used to engrave .. Not following the need to have to disassemble... if that a requirement or limitation of the engraver?
