I'm looking tommorrow at a used Kimber Carry II with 2 mags. Its 'almost new' with very few rounds through it. If the gun looks good, is $600 a good deal? Thanks in advance.

I've seen Pro Carry II's as low as $800 new. I'd say if it looks new and is in good shape, it is in fact a pretty good deal. I would highly recomend shooting it if possible before you buy it.

Yep... if everything checks out... it seems like a good deal. Best of luck. :D

Find out which mags it comes with--many if not most 1911 feeding problems are mag related... a good mag like a Wilson or McCormick usually solves them. Basic black Pro Carry II's run like $800, with stainless and/or night sights adding $100-200.

Yeah, I'd say if you can get it for $600 and it shoots well, I'd go for it. :D Let us know how it works out!

If it has the internal extractor I would say go for it.

Got the Kimber and shot it this morning. Absolutely love it! It shoots better than I do. Stainless frame, black slide and grips. Just beautiful.

This is my experience and everyone else that I know says the same about their Kimbers. I'm glad I did not listen to the gun site commandos about the reliability of the Kimber. Mine is awesome!

Me too. I have two Kimbers and love them. A good number of my shooting buddies have Kimbers and all love them. Not one of us has had a problem of any kind.
