Finnish M39s at Classic Firearms

Recommended Posts

Classic Firearms apparently bought the bulk of the remaining cache of Finnish M39s that Pat Burns has been slowly selling for years and has put them up for sale on their website. They have Sako and VKT versions for sale. [emoji3][emoji106]

The force was strong with this one...the temptation too great...I succumbed and added a VKT to go with my Sako. [emoji4]

Wonder if they are a C&R  or if some one in Knoxville will place an order for me to buy one ? Of course , Classic's price is @ the door, gotta pay TICS & tax in K'patch plus shipping .. Not that I'm complaining.

bucnball,

They are selling fast.  As of now you can't get a Sako or a hand select.  You can't complete your order without using an FFL they have on file.

I couldn't use my regular folks as they are in Classic's system.  I'm glad I called the FFL before placing the order as the first one I called charges $50.

M39 is an awesome rifle. What the Fins did to improved the Mosin is unbelievable.

They are the King of the Mosins.

M39's are C&R if you have one.

Yes, they are C&R - and these landed while mine is having the premises address updated   Looks like they are at least getting one more batch in after this one; maybe more than one more.

Unfortunately, a lot of the M39s buyers are receiving did not live up to the puffery in their website video. My hand select rifle would have been pretty good if it didn't have a long crack in the forearm of the stock. I decided it was worth keeping as long as Classic gave me a refund of the hand select fee, which they did do. Too many of these rifles were shipped with horrible cracks and many were hand selects. I think Classic is ruining their reputation with their sales tactics.
