Mosin crate

I am looking at starting a new project and am having a tough time locating a mosin nagant rifle crate. I do not need the guns to go with, but just need the box. Does not have to be authentic. Does anyone in the Nashville area have any leads or ideas where I can find one? The plan is to use it for a coffee table for the house. I have seen on a couple other forums where they have put guns in one for display. Thanks in advance.

Contact Classic Firearms and SOG, as far as I know they are the only ones with crates currently in stock.  Normally when they empty the crates they let them go on a "first come" basis, AIM in Ohio used to let folks pick them up for free if they called ahead but they have been out of stock for several weeks now, it still might be worth the call to see if by chance they have any empties left.

Gander Mnt in Mt. Juliet has surplus rifle crates for sale.  I'm not sure if they are Mosin, though I would guess that most of them look alike.  You could always call before driving out there.

I've heard that buds in pigeon forge has them cheap, a bit far but a good excuse for a vacation

wouldn't be too difficult to reproduce from scratch.  probably cost you in the $200 range to make it with the glass.  the markings would be simple to do as well.  all you would really need is a saw, drill, sander, and some time.

Last time I was at Buds they had a couple priced at $40 a piece, if I remember correctly.

Thanks. I actually picked one up today at the Gander Mountain. Shorter drive. They had a couple... Apparently they only get 1 per year but nobody knows they have them so they really don't sell much

My oldest brother is dying to get himself one. Unfortunately he is in Florida and they are kind of hard to stuff in the back end of a Crown Vic.
