Survival Cordage - DIY

Very interesting. Certainly crafty.

But, were I to find myself in a situation where I got knives and two liter bottles, but no string; and life depended on that length of string.....I'd probably just greet death like an old friend and walk happily with him to whatever's next. Edited by Caster

nah, cmon. You're over thinking it. You could just get stranded in the woods for a short time and find trash to use to get through.

Besides, deciding to welcome death might be a bit easier with some 2-liter cordage to hang yourself on

My adventurous days have long passed me by, so I have ask myself; Caster, wtf are you doing out here in the woods?

Seriously though, I'd hate to know I had to use it....but I must admit to staking claim on a currently half full two liter bottle in the fridge. I'm gonna try it. Lol!

Despite the fact that the two liters will likely outlast us by thousands of years, I'm gonna make my cordage the old fashioned way:

That's pretty slick but I'm older than dirt and have actually used that method many years ago. Thanks for posting.

I would probably start braiding the creeping vines, that keep trying to kill my trees, before I start cutting up water containers.
