A Very Serious Prayer Request

I have a prayer request for all my friends. We all know what can come from prayer. In this case, there’s a lady I've known all my life. Today, she's very sick and on some days it appears she is dying. On top of that, she's being abused by those she has given everything to all her life. Lies about her abound, and seem to come from all sides. Just breaks my heart. Seems there's nothing I can do alone. But maybe, if we join in and lift her up to God and ask for His help, she can begin to recover. She's well over 200 years old, but way too young to die. Her name is America ... and I love her. Please Help US God!!

I have never stopped since I was just a little boy and my mother taught me about saying my prayers and she always added and GOD BLESS AMERICA before saying amen. I still say that say prayer she taught me every night and just add friends and new family members to it.................... :up: :up:

For those who are the praying type, I might add the following comments.  While I think that it's appropriate to pray for our country and leaders - it needs to be within context. The kingdom that God is concerned with was heralded about 1750 years before our Thomas Jefferson penned our declaration on behalf of the founding fathers.  One kingdom will last - and all others will eventually fail.

 

What does it mean for us then for the Kingdom of God to be here and now?  And, how does that affect our citizenship and our lives here in the United States (or any other country for that matter)?

 

I expect the the good Lord doesn't much care if Hillary wins.

 

As for most of the GOP field, I sure wouldn't look to them as some sort of proverbial savior.  As I read it, the Gospel is offensive on who it lets in - not who it keeps out.  How does that sync with most of the rhetoric you're hearing right now?

No matter what happens, either short term or long term, the United States will NEVER be what it once was. All civilizations fail at some point and ours is no different. What is different is how long it takes to meet our demise. Could be another hundred years or more but it could also fail in the next few years, which is what I am planning for. If I am wrong then my supplies will be there for my heirs.

And when we do fail I hope it brings us all together but I suspect it will end with Americans fighting, and killing, each other making us ripe for the picking by our biggest threat to our nation's survival.

The biggest threat to our way of life in not the liberal agenda, gun control or an out of control government. It is the slow creeping of those who are Muslim and follow Islam. All you have to do to see this is look at everything going on across Europe by these people. They ROUTINELY assault, rape and kill non Muslims for wandering into the areas those Muslims have have declared as their own. They then use Sharia as justification for it an riot if they are not allowed to apply Sharia to non Muslims.

They have been slowly conditioning us into tolerating if by making small demands like refusing to check customers out if they are buying something the Muslim does not believe in. And what do we do? Accommodate them so they can continue to make more and more demands.

I urge everyone to jump on YouTube and look at all that this "religion of peace" is doing to the citizens of countries they were allowed to enter.

We, for the good of our children, must resist those who say we must tolerate them. I will NEVER tolerate any demands made on behalf of any Muslim, even moderates.

Dude, no joke, I seriously did know what this was before l clicked to open it.  The title is what gave it away as I saw it at the top of General Chat last night, and it did so because I've seen it blasted around for about three years.  The words "Very Serious" were the tip off.

 

If someone comes on here and asks for a prayer request for a family member, a friend, or even someone or something they heard about on the news, I stay out of that and let those who want to offer a prayer do so.  That's not something I feel is my place to intrude upon ...but I don't hold chain mail to that standard.

Been praying for Her for quite awhile. It really boils down to the fact that America as a whole has turned her back on God. Just remember how the Israelites wandered in the desert for 40 years and they could have easily walked it in 3 weeks or less, and may I remind you they are God's chosen people. Let me say one thing....If Obama was to take a lie detector test and the 1st question was "are you a muslum" the freakin machine would blow to hell.....In eight years he's destroyed this country. I'm 80 and seen a few presidents in my time ...some good and bad never seen one like him and what he has done to this country. He has divided us and made more hate then there ever was.he wont put the flag at half mask or visit a cops funeral ......but will turn the lights on the white house in "the gay colors". And the the killer is the IRAN deal....a sentance of death to us and the jews......I pray for my grand kids.

I pray for our country, and I know that God is more than capable to help us.

But the more that goes on and the older I get I ask myself "why should he?". How many times do we as a country hold a middle finger to the sky and tell God that we know better than he?

I'll prepare as best I can for the rough times we'll see should things get bad, but I'm more concentrated on making sure I have a kingdom to reside in after this one is long gone.
