Bellshire Hardware has some of the best RIA prices on Gunbroker and they're located in Nashville.

Guns and Leather carries them as well.

Theres usually a ton at the gunshows. I got one at the nashville show about a month or two ago. I'll take a look at the card, I can't remember who the dealer was, but he was out of nashville.

The term is called netiquette and typing in all caps online is the equivalent of screaming. :)

That wasn't directed at you Tuner, I just thought this was funny and I saw BillWilly's spelling post and I wanted to share. I did find it interesting that I could read it the first time I saw it.:D

Now back to our regularly scheduled program of Rock Island Pistols.

:D

For what it's worth, I think they are a great gun for the money. I have heard only good things about them. I know most of the smaller gun stores around here stock them. I also know that I see a lot of them at every gun show I attend.

I got one about a month ago, while only firing 100 through it (i forgot to take it to the range last week) i had no problems. I read all the stuff about how to check for fit and finish and have noticed no issues at all. It's obviously not a semi-custom but its still fine for my intentions.

Go to the november 2008 tgo shooting contest (sticky post in the handgun forums) my entry is with a rock island .45. I'm not a particularly great shot with a handgun, so that should give you an idea what the gun will do.

Yeah i have done alot of homework on them. I will not carry it more than likely. I just want it to see how i like 1911's

My dad-in-law has one, and I love it. I am getting a less expensive .45 ( Ruger p90 ) as a Christmas present, but I really liked his Rock Island. I am pretty sure that the boys at Guns and Leather have them also.
