No wonder the country is in such bad shape with this bunch of idiots voting.--MP

While it is a small sample on the video, I'd be willing to bet it is a pretty good indication of the majority of Americans regardless of party. Really, really sad.

This is just unbelievable. My biggest pet peeve is when uninformed people go vote. They pick a candidate based on hype, water cooler talk, or who has the best hairdo. I wish there could be a simple test asked before getting a ballot.

I think this is one reason the Founding Fathers never intended for the general population to elect the president, and they set up the Electoral College. Unfortunately, the EC has been bastardized into the system we currently have.

The simple test is to only allow people who are invested in this country to vote. That is why the founding fathers only intended land owners to vote. It wasn't so much a way to have only the "elite" vote, but they understood people tend to vote a little different when they are protecting assets instead of voting for assets.

I agree.. Its so amazing how people will cast a vote for something so important without doing research..without knowing facts. this is akin to playing Russian Roulette with a derringer!

;)

the more I see it, the more I'm inclined to not worry about the next election...though I'm sure the woes of our country will be blamed on Republicans. I myself am now leaning towards the Constitution party and I doubt I will be voting Republican that much any more. I'm through with them AND the Democrats. My vote may not count that much in the future..but I will be voting my conscience and that's important to me.

Turning my back on the Republican party makes sense to me also. ANY third party needs to get busy now trying to win state seats to develop a base. Waiting until 2011 to run for the White House isn't enough. I haven't been able to vote for "The best man for the job" since Regan and that pisses me off. The only reason I voted for McCain/Palin was that they were the only party with a real chance to beat BO. We all know how that worked out.

Barney Frank, ain't he that gay purple dinosaur???;)

It's way past due for a competency test and a job to qualify for voting privileges.

I see no problem with requiring a simple test of basic civics, like requiring a voter to name the current Speaker of the House, or to identify the three branches of government. It could even be multiple-choice. But the Dems would never allow it.

Yep, that would pretty much eliminate their voting base. Sad, really...

We knew this but it is nice to see some evidence. The "King Makers" were out in full force this election. Without the freeride from the media he would have never won. I do not believe we have ever had a person run for POTUS as controversal as Obama with his background and all the things there yet he got a total free ride.

One bitter sweet thing speaking of the "King Makers" is that McCain lost due to the fact that for the first time in his political career, the media was not giving him a free ride. We can even go back just as far as the primary when the media brought back McCains campaigne from death to give him a free ride and smear all his opponets while leaving him alone. While they talked endlessly about Mitt's money, there was no amount he could spend to counter that type of attack.

So to see McCain get the nod and all of a sudden be at the attack end of the media was just priceless... I only wish I could have seen the shock on his face. I only wish now he would slink off into the dark and leave our Republic to better people but the jerk is not only going to run for his seat again but he is vowing to HELP Obama and I think we all know what that means.

McCain might be a war hero but so was Benidict Arnold.

Sad indeed. My wife and I were listening to the call in responses for the last presidential debate on CNN, only because she was on hold for the independant supporter line. (Yes she got through) After hearing many responses to the debate, I lost all hope of a "well informed" American population fixing the mess we have created here. It seems the majority of Americans today have fallen out of the stuipid tree and hit every branch on the way down. Perhaps this has always been the case, but with the complexity of the problems we are facing today; we are in deep  because our leaders seem to have fallen out of the same tree!

1. I wouldn't count too much on ever getting to vote for more than one party ever again. At the rate the dems and repubs are going in the same direction, I see them merging (formally) in the near future - they are already there in actions.

2. Watch for the attack on the 22nd amendment. It will probably come late in bho's first term - call it 2011.

3. I have to give it to the liberals and socialists. They have played a winning hand. By taking over education and media, they have molded a generation into their way of thinking, as well as taking over the lazy and stupid from previous generations. Throw in their control of hollywood - whom the ignorant idolize - and it's all over for anyone who uses their brain for anything other than an ear spacer.

4. Future? less rights, less middle class, USSA...
