I have decided after some time, to get my concealed carry permit. I am in Maryville. Where should I go and about how much should I expect to pay for the class. Thank you for any help. Peace.

$45 here (http://www.frontierfirearms.us/#!carry-permit-class-deals-and-specials/cxqg) which is about 1/2 of what I paid in 2008 and that was a steal at the time.

Still not sure how the state can get away with requiring a paid, private class for a right. Seems like at worse case it should be like hunter safety and offer free classes by the state.

TN Constitution says yer folks in Nashville can regulate the wearing of arms. So they regulate it.

I think Gunny's offers a class. Else there's Frontier in Kingston and Tactical Advantage in Knoxville. Most classes are in the $50-$65 range, plus the $110 to the state.

I would check with Bills Outpost.  There is always a posting about classes in his store.  Then there is Farnsworth in Vonore, always a class going on too.

http://www.billsoutpost.com/  They are in Middleton Shopping Center in the NW Corner straight behind McDees.

I am really liking the price at Frontier arms despite the drive. I am trying to find Gunny's price. Thank you. Edited by mjpatrick

Well at least one can easily get a permit in this State.  There are others where it is next to impossible.

Tactical advantage looks good, too ty chances R. I'm learning about all the firearm shops as well. I look each one up as they are suggested. I appreciate it. Michigan was much higher, more than double for the class. Edited by mjpatrick

There was recently a Goupon for a class in the Knoxville area.  I'd look for you but I recently got a new phone and haven't needed to download the Groupon app yet.
